Shipping & Delivery Policy

  1. ​​​​​Introduction

Thank you for visiting and shopping at EGGCHAIRSAUSTRALIA.COM.AU (‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’). The following information sets out the terms and conditions that constitute our Shipping Policy.

  1. Processing your Order
    1. An email confirmation is sent to your e-mail address after placing your order.  Please keep this e-mail as proof of your purchase.
  2. Shipment Processing Time
    1. Our Shipment & processing time is higher than normal as egg chairs are very bulky goods and we arrange private driver deliveries in metro VIC, NSW and ACT. For all other locations we use direct freight express and delivery you see on checkout page maybe significantly higher.
    2. We're able to offer competitive prices on our product range and shipping charges because we offer deliveries via our private drivers. All products are dispatched from our Melbourne warehouse (Sunshine North VIC warehouse)
    3. Processing time refers to the time it takes for us to prepare your order for shipping.
    4. After your payment is authorised and verified, all orders are processed within 1 to 2 weeks.  We will contact you if, for some reason, there are any delays. We usually have runs to metro NSW at least once in fortnight.
    5. However, some orders may ship within as few as one day and some may take up to 3 weeks depending on stock availability.
  3. Shipment Locations
    1. At this time, we ship our products to locations within Australia only. As mentioned in clause 3, we arrange delivery via our private drivers in metro VIC, NSW and ACT. In all other location we use 3rd party courier services such as Direct Freight Express.
    2. Please note that you cannot change the address of delivery once the order is placed. 
      1. You acknowledge that it is solely your responsibility to ensure that the delivery address is appropriate.
      2. Even if we make all effort to redirect the delivery package to a new address requested by you, we do not and cannot make any guarantee that it will be redirected successfully.
      3. You release and indemnify us against all damage or loss arising from your change or purported change of delivery address, including but not limited to the loss of the delivery package.
      4. We cannot guarantee you delivery on specific time slot. We can accept your requests and try to accomodate your request - however we make no guarantees that delivery would occure on your requested time or day.
      5. If at all you are not available at the time of delivery, driver would leave items at safest location possible outside your address.
      6. We offer curb side delivery only if your address is apartment or unit or in CBD where driver cannot find parkings. Driver will contact you to liaise with you timings and you will have to accept the curb side delivery.
      7. If you have paid for assembly services and if you're not available at the time of delivery - Driver will leave the items at the front and take the picture as a proof of delivery. Your assembly services payments in such instances will be refunded in full. If you did not receive your refund after 10 working days of receiving delivery - please write to us at support@eggchairsaustralia.com.au
  4. Shipment rates and delivery estimates
    1. We endeavour to get your order to you as soon as possible.
    2. Once your order is placed, shipping costs and an estimated delivery time will be provided to you at the time of checkout.
    3. Delivery times are estimates and commence from the date of shipment, rather than the date of order.  Delivery times are to be used as a guide only and are subject to the acceptance and approval of your order.
    4. Estimated arrival dates are not guaranteed.  Weather delays and other unforeseen circumstances may impact delivery time.  Unless there are exceptional circumstances, we make every reasonable effort to fulfil your order.
  5. Please note:
    1. Business day means Monday to Friday (inclusive), except public holidays.
    2. Date of delivery may vary due to carrier shipping practices, delivery location, method of delivery, and the items ordered.
    3. Due to high demand during June, July , Christmas, natural disasters, inclement weather, lockdowns, industrial action, and other factors, packages to and from our facility in Melbourne, Victoria, may be delayed.  We appreciate your patience if this occurs.
    4. We will not be responsible for shipping an item to an incorrect address, if you had provided the incorrect address at the time of placing an order.
    5. As clearly stated in our Terms and Conditions, if your item is delivered by a third-party courier, You agree that we will not be liable to you for any special, indirect, or consequential loss or damage, loss of profit or opportunity, or damage to goodwill arising out of or in connection with delivery of our products.  Such damages, if proved, shall only be attributed to the third-party delivery service provider.
  6. Customs duties
    1. We or our third-party shipping provider handles import charges into Australia.
  7. Damages
    1. If there is any damage to the packaging on delivery, or you do not receive your item within 28 days of placing your order:
      1. contact our delivery service provider in the first instance; or
      2. if the matter is not resolved by the delivery service provider, contact us at support@eggchairsaustralia.com.au
  8. Missing or Lost Package
    1. There are several reasons why a package gets lost.  Often, the package is in the building, complex, or with a neighbour.  We politely request that in the first instance, customers look in common locations where couriers may leave a package and ask their neighbours if they have seen an abandoned package.  Please let us know if you find it.
    2. If you haven't located your order, please contact us at support@eggchairsaustralia.com.au to report missing or lost packages.
